The house is located on Sengekontacket Pond on the Oak Bluffs side of Major's Cove (which separates Edgartown and Oak Bluffs). It is an especially peaceful waterfront location, but only a few miles from Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and the Farm Neck Golf Course. A deck extends the length of the house and overlooks Sengekontacket Pond and the Audubon sanctuary on Felix Neck across the Pond. This saltwater Pond has a small boat opening to the Atlantic Ocean at State Beach. The back yard fronts on the Pond for private swimming. The house is in the Sengekontacket Community Association, a quiet, family oriented area with 2 tennis courts, clubhouse, and a small freshwater pond for swimming and canoeing, as well as a dock (next door to the house) on Sengekontacket Pond. Guests have privileges at Association facilities.
