TISBURY
Tisbury (also known as Vineyard Haven) was one of New England's busiest
seaports in the 1800s with 13,814 vessels traveling through it in 1845. Today
it is one of the Steamship Authority ports, a port also popular with wooden
sailing ships, and is the home of the world renowned Black Dog restaurant,
as well as a number of other fine restaurants and shops. |
